Collection: Functional Objects
My work centers around functional ceramics, allowing people to experience artwork in their own two hands. Ceramics can be thought of as a conversation between the maker and the material. However, when a maker creates a ceramic work with the intention of it gracing a person's home and life it takes on a new quality. The conversation then shifts from the maker and the material to the maker and the user. Functional ceramics allow the user to have art that they can treasure in their everyday life and pass down generationally, They can bring the user joy for years to come.
