Collection: Artful Ceramics
Fine art ceramics can set itself apart from a ceramicist's production work with the unique qualities and vitality the work possesses. The current body of work I am exploring revolves around the synergistic yet imbalanced manipulation of a ceramic form. These works also have textures and use different firing methods to add depth, contract, and variety to the body of work. There is an old ceramics saying. Pottery is made up of three parts: One part the maker, one part the material, and one part the firing. It is with these ideas in mind I am trying to express clear intentions for my ceramics within the symphony of all those ceramicists that came before me.
